About us

La Perruche Verte is an independent media created in 2022. Its main motivation is to offer the possibility to write, to share an analysis, a point of view, a reflection or even an experience to anyone who wishes to do so.

When strolling around Brussels, you may be surprised by the amusing, noisy and unexpected presence of these exotic little green creatures in the midst of the gloom: parakeets. What are they doing here? It doesn't make much sense. They don't belong in this habitat. Why don't they go somewhere else? It is now fifty years since they have escaped from captivity and are living as they wish. Once expatriated and locked up for the sake of human eyes, they now live in the city, playing, racing, shouting happily
